Trees , planting , a blog

Normally I would not like to add other blogs here. I know it irks some readers that the blogger is taking advantage of the famous pages.

But this one is beyond all those irritants. Trees , and boy, do we need them. this blog I stumbled upon gave me an interest when I saw this picture

There is so much useful information, I could not go through fully. I will soon.
Before that I wanted to share this nice blog with all my good readers. How the practice can be started from childhood, and we can contribute a little to our environment!

Enjoy.

About gardenerat60

As you guessed, I am a retired executive, looking for hobbies. Stumbled into gardening after reading blogs. Always wanted to use eco-friendly items in daily life. So, there was no heistation in deciding to put the vast terrace balcony to use for organic garden.

Pattu, That was great . Very informative and should motivate others if they really care for the environment. Hope we see more of these. Don’t worry about some who meant only business and nothing else bothers them .

    Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks

Tree-planting and being aware of the need to reverse the damage caused by unplanned and unsustenable development is something that we can teach children early. At all levels, I believe that children are our only hope. We have to help them grow up in an environment where they see their elders, at least their immediate family, living need based and ethical lives. We have to provide them the strength of faith that will help them to not envy or aspire for lives of consumeristic materialism. In some ways, putting them in touch with the energies of mother nature can help bring such a centeredness. It wont help though if they step out of the garden into a home filled with greed and insecurity. This comment is perhaps not directly connected with the post, but since it provoked this thinking, I thought it prudent to leave it behind. Who knows who will read it and be inspired to make a change in bringing up the future generation.

Hi, Welcome to my blog. thanks for those wonderful thoughts. Yes, so many positive thoughts are coming up, when one sees this page. I am sure all like minded people will agree with what you said.

We need to change our attitude , and raise children in a better way, for a better world for them. Hope , all those young parents and parents to be are aware of this.

  4. Such an evocative picture. If we want the earth to survive, we’ll need to get in touch with nature again and what better time than to start young!
