Well, it is getting colder in Hyderabad. The dry season is on, and the skin demands care. It is difficult to get out of bed , and the garden is cold in the mornings. I am visiting the terrace after the sun starts around 7 a.m. The plants too are looking a little lazy.
But , the Dondakaya plants are busy budding and fruiting.
Thanks to Sanddepgaru, and the Shadnagar gardener. Wish I had few more plants to get good harvest on weekly basis.
the good old Brinjals are steadyfast. The varieties I am getting this year , is amazing.

wow, what a lovely garden and lovelier harvest. Just shows the love you pour into them. By the way, even i thought this flower was manoranjitham. It used to flower in my uncles house at nungambakkam. But i remember the petals were short and not tentacle like in this photo. It was fragrant.
Hi Asha, welcome!. Thanks for the nice words. Yes, the flowers are a little different. It looks like a spider. I was plucking them when they were green and was wondering why smell is so mild. Later, when I saw one flower changing color to that greenish yellow, I realised I was plucking young ones! Of course the smaller varieties found in TN are heady smelling, this one is milder. I am still looking for the smallest ones , with a orange centre. Not many people know about that.
Appreciate your interest in gardening. Its much enthusiastic to go thro’ ur website. I am also much interested, but no space here in this apartment….Still manage to have some plants in my kitchen:) Harvest looks so beautiful dear!

Bought one manoranjitam and pavazha malli (parijatham) both hybrid with buds already in small plant. What type of soil do they need clayey or red or marshydamp or gud draining sraandy soil?
